What happens to Housing during a recession?
So if we take a look at the last 6 recessions, housing has actually only decreased during one of them
And that was the great recession of 2008
The last recession we had was actually when COVID started and housing prices actually increased quite a bit
Why am I saying this?
Well, because as we are headed towards another recession, housing is going to be one of those safe heavens. One of the safe places to hedge off against inflation that we are seeing now
Specially something that isn’t super high end, something that is affordable That is where you are going to see a flock of people moving to
If people are priced out of homes, they are going to continue to rent.
You will continue to see the demand for rents increase, rates will continue to increase .
You are going to do well investing in housing in the near future.
